Analiza generiranja vjetrovnih valova u zatvorenom akvatoriju Jadrana / Goran Lončar1*, Eva Ocvirk1, Vladimir Andročec1.
Sažetak

U radu je prikazana provedba analize značajnih valnih visina gravitacijskih vjetrovnih valova u jednoj točci u Bračkom kanalu ispred grada Splita. Numerički model valnog generiranja daje točnije rezultate dinamike značajnih valnih visina ukoliko se upotrebe anemografski podaci nego rezultati modela Aladin, primarno kao posljedica prognostičkog karaktera podataka iz modela Aladin a sekundarno i zbog veće vremenske rezolucije izmjerenih podataka..; The paper presents how the analysis was conducted for the significant wave heights of gravitational wind waves in one point of the Brač channel before the city of Split. The analysis was carried out on the basis of the measured wind velocities and directions at the meteorological station Split-Marijan and the obtained  wind velocities and directions based on the forecasting atmospheric model Aladin. The energy transfer of the wind impact on the generated wave dynamics was obtained based on two methods: the Groen-Dorrenstein graph and the numerical model MIKE 21/SW. The calculated values of significant wave heights were compared to the measured data at the wave gauge installed at the exact point for which the analysis was carried out. The comparison of the results obtained by the conducted analyses and the measurements of significant wave heights indicated the reliability of the results obtained by the application of the Groen-Dorrenstein graph and also that the critical parameter for the reliability of the calculations was, in fact, wind velocity. The numerical model of wave generation gives more accurate results for the dynamics of significant wave heights if anemographic data are used when compared to the results of the Aladin model, primarily due to the forecasting character of data from the Aladin model and, as the secondary reason, also due to a larger temporal resolution of the measured data.
