Evidentno je da se suša na otoku Korčuli javlja sve češće, ali i snažnije, što je karakteristično i za brojne druge  otoke i regije Mediterana..; The results of water quality monitoring of surface waters and ground waters are stored in the data base of Hrvatske vode and are used for different reporting purposes according to the regulations of the Republic of Croatia as well as international and EU requirements. The most comprehensive report is made according to the Water Act (OG No. 153/2009) - this is the annual report on the results of water quality monitoring in the Republic of Croatia, which has been prepared each year for a decade. The Environmental Protection Act (OG No. 110/07) defines the preparation of the State of the Environment Report in the Republic of Croatia, in which Hrvatske vode also takes part. Aside from a series of reports prepared for the purpose of implementation of international agreements and international conventions, reporting towards the European level has begun in recent years, and takes place through communication with the European Environment Agency (EEA). After accession of the Republic of Croatia to the European Union, reporting towards the European Commission (DG Environment) on the implementation of water directives will begin, with annual or multi-annual dynamics.
